There were 6 of us playing from 7 to 70 and everyone said they had a great time playing it. So we split into two teams of three, on my team there was me, my mum and auntie and on the other team was my cousin, brother and grandma. My cousin thought they were at a slight disadvantage as everyone but her could barely stand with laughter on her team and my team were experts after the first round and so we obviously won!
During the game we had to act, draw and describe a string of three words these could be people, emotions and actions. There was a pile of A, B and C cards and you had to take one from each and the the other team would give you 3 numbers from one to three and they would refer to the numbers on the cards. You scored points for the amount of words you guessed, 1 for each word and 4 points if you got the whole sentence. If you didn't get the whole sentence the other group will get 1 guess at it and if they do you will get 1 bonus point.
We often play family board games when we are together and this was one of the funniest, especially when Grandma had to act out a poor blackbird reading a newspaper this had us all in fits of laughter.
You scored points for the amount of words you guessed and 4 if you got the whole sentence, you had to be the first to 30 to win and the competition got really close. Our family is really competitive and so as the point racket up the tension rose. The game became funnier as people were more desperate to get the points for their teams and the acting and drawing became even worse and the people who were describing were speechless. Finally we won and the other team were not happy then began the accusations of cheating. All in all I think the game was a great success in our family and we all loved it and would happily play again.
I think one of the best things about the game was that everyone no matter what age they are can take part in the game and the word are easy enough to read and understand meaning the youngest players still feel involved as well as being able to take part in the guessing, acting, drawing and describing of the game. There was also 2 options on the cards so you could go hard or easy which gave every one of all skills can feel challenged by the game. You also had the choice of acting, drawing and describing meaning everyone could play to their strengths as well as different time limits for each activity meaning no matter what you did it was fair and no one was at an advantage. You can also write some of your own cards, there is three sets of A, B and C card on which you can chose your own ideas this is a really good idea as it mean you are able to personalise the game and put your own ideas into it.
What a fabulous post and a great game! Well done Lively Blogger and Happy Easter Britain's Next Top Blogger.
